CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — Multiple charges have been filed against an Ithaca man in Cortland County.
Deputies say Omar Punter ran a red light early Saturday morning and did not pull over. The 40-year-old then crashed into a fence on McClean Road, and that’s when authorities determined Punter was driving drunk.
Deputies also found a loaded handgun, cocaine, and a digital scale in his vehicle. He was charged with two felonies – criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with evidence – along with several misdemeanors.
Punter is scheduled for Cortlandville Town Court at 11:30 this morning.
