ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Anti-union-busting demonstrators at Cornell will negotiate with President Martha Pollack.
The Cornell Daily sun reports that after nearly two days of occupation at Day Hall, students and Starbucks workers have been granted a meeting with Pollack. They want to discuss ending the University’s contract with the coffee giant after it announced plans to close Ithaca’s remaining two dedicated locations. The school agreed to meet with demonstrators by the end of the month, and the occupation has ended.
