DANBY, N.Y. (WHCU) — Danby is considering becoming a pro-housing community.

Officials will discuss the potential designation at tonight’s Town Board meeting. Governor Hochul created the pro-housing initiative last year to give eligible towns priority consideration for funding.

In February, the Cortland Common Council adopted a similar pledge. Mayor Scott Steve recently spoke about it on Ithaca’s Morning News.
