VARNA, N.Y. (WHCU) — There was fast action from Tompkins County firefighters.

Crews from Varna and Dryden responded to Fall Creek on Wednesday, after receiving reports of an unconscious hiker. Rescue teams found the man on the Monkey Run Trail and brought him to an ambulance. Crews provided oxygen, and the man reportedly recovered.

Firefighters suggest always hiking with a partner.
