CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. (WHCU) — Cortlandville voters are choosing how many town justices will appear on the payroll.
In August, the Cortlandville Town Board adopted a resolution to eliminate one town justice position. They cited a switch to centralized arraignment for nixing one position, which would leave the town with one justice.
The proposition appears on the ballot for town voters. If approved, the change would be official January 1.
Early voting is open until Sunday. Election Day is on November 7.
