CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. (WHCU) — There’s now a resident artist in Cortlandville.
Officials recently gave the distinction to Kathy Smith. Town Supervisor Tom Williams tells WHCU Smith has a rare form of Lou Gehrig’s disease.
“She’s very, very limited in what she can do,” Williams says. “She can’t talk, has difficulty eating, but one thing she can do – and does with a passion – is painting.”
Her artwork will soon be on display at the Town Hall.
