CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) – A $250,000 donation to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center will help purchase new equipment for imaging.

The Cortland Memorial Foundation presented the check to the hospital and its board of directors recently. The money will be used towards the purchase and installation of a new $1.7 million PET CT machine this spring.
“We are continually humbled by the overwhelming generosity of this community and the tireless efforts of Cortland Memorial Foundation,” said Jennifer Yartym, SVP, President, Guthrie Cortland Medical Center. “This donation aids in our mission to deliver comprehensive health care, close to home.”
Officials say the new equipment will help the hospital achieve stroke center designation.
