CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) – A convicted sex offender in Cortland has been charged.

Cortland Police arrested 42-year-old Daniel Gerhart Thursday, May 25, 2023, after he failed to meet the obligations set for him by the New York State Sex Offender Registry.

Gerhart was charged with felonies of failure to provide a change of address, failure to provide an updated photo, and failure to provide a verification form. He’s being held in Cortland County Jail without bail. He’ll appear in Cortland City Court at a later date.
