CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. (WHCU) – A theft investigation leads to a drug charge for a Cortland man.

Authorities responded to Walmart on Monday, June 6, 2023, for a report that someone had stolen something. During the investigation, they allegedly found that the suspect, 33-year-old Daniel Turner-Rogers, had 50 small glassine envelopes of fentanyl. It amounts to fives grams of the durg with an approximate street value of $500.

Turner-Rogers was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor petit larceny. Turner-Rogers is due in Town of Cortlandville Court on June 26, 2023.
