CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — A vacant building on Madison Street in Cortland could be a candidate for money from Albany.

The Common Council will vote tonight on submitting a grant application for two million dollars to the Restore New York Communities Initiative.

Restore New York provides local governments money to revitalize commercial and residential properties. The money would help renovate the old Parker Elementary School building for residential use.

Cortland’s Common Council meets tonight starting at six o’clock.
