CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — A K9 officer in the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office has died. 

K9 Fredy helped deputies between 2014 until 2021. The police pup was certified in tracking, article search, patrol, and narcotics. Deputies say K9 Fredy passed last week after an illness.
