CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — The Cortland County landfill is receiving more waste.

Over 2,000 tons of solid waste were delivered in March. Compared to February, that’s an increase of nearly 15 percent. Officials are adding extra cover material to reduce the smell at the landfill.

In other news, homeowners in Cortland are being encouraged to let their lawns grow.
