CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — Several groups in Cortland County could receive grants.

The Convention and Visitor’s Bureau plans to distribute money to benefit tourism marketing. The funding comes from occupancy taxes that were collected.

The Cortland Regional Sports Council could receive $134,000, and Holiday in Homer might get $3,000. In total, 12 organizations could receive grants.

County legislators have yet to approve the funding.
