ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – An owl from Cornell’s raptor program has escaped.

Skye, a trained barred owl, flew away around 4 p.m. on Thursday because of what program officials are calling a ‘fluke situation.’ The multi-colored bird is wearing leather anklets and could still have a leash attached.

Skye has poor vision and cannot survive in the wild. If you see her, call 907-388-4485 immediately to report her location.
