ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Cornell Police have charged a man with felonies of assault and burglary.
Tom Botts surrendered to authorities on Friday for an incident that occurred on campus on October 29. The 19-year-old Botts is accused of breaking into 118 McGraw Place and vandalizing an interior room. He allegedly sprayed a resident in the face with a fire extinguisher when confronted. In addition to the burglary and assault charges, Botts faces misdemeanors of criminal possession of a weapon and criminal mischief. He will appear in court at a later date.
