ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Cornell is remembering a longtime linguistics professor.

Dr. Margarita Suñer passed away in late February from Alzheimer’s. Her colleagues tell the Cornell Chronicle she was a brilliant and innovative linguist with a warm personality.

Suñer started teaching at the university in 1973; she retired over three decades later. Suñer was 82.
