ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Patrick Dai, the Cornell student accused of posting threats online against Jewish students, is now under 24-hour supervision at the Broome County jail.
Sheriff Fred Akshar says his office has an agreement with the US Marshal’s to keep some federal inmates at their jail, which includes the 21-year-old Dai. The supervision Dai is under is a department policy.
According to the criminal complaint, Dai admitted to the FBI that he made the online threats to “shoot up” the campus kosher dining hall. He was arrested and charged on Tuesday.
