ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Most Cornell students who voted in a referendum last week want the university to divest from companies with connections to the war in Gaza.
The Cornell Daily Sun reports roughly 47% of undergrads participated in the two-question vote last Thursday and Friday. The first question asked students about Cornell calling for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and the other was about divestment. Both questions saw overwhelming approval.
Results now go to President Martha Pollack, who has 30 days to respond.
