ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Cornell is looking to welcome thousands of new faces.

The university made its final admission decision on Thursday for incoming freshmen. Nearly 5,000 students were admitted in total. The applicants come from all 50 states and more than 80 countries.

Prospective students have until May 1 to accept the university’s offer.
