WATKINS GLEN, NY (WHCU) – The man convicted of setting fire to a horse barn in Nichols has appeared in court for an unrelated crime.
Boyd Fenton Jr., 33, pled guilty to felony forgery in Schuyler County Court last Thursday. The District Attorney’s Office says Boyd gave police a phony inspection sticker during a traffic stop. He’s set for sentencing on July 25.
Fenton is currently serving a 5 to 15-year sentence for setting a fire at Tioga Downs Casino in November that killed 30 horses and a cat.
