Congresswoman Tenney calls on Cornell professor to resign

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WHCU) — Another lawmaker is calling on Cornell to part ways with a professor.

Congresswoman Claudia Tenney says historian Russell Rickford should immediately resign or be fired. Rickford reportedly called Hamas’ attacks on Israel “energizing.” He has since apologized.

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand also believes the professor should be fired.
