ALBANY, N.Y. (WHCU) — New York’s budget process was temporarily sidelined Wednesday by an apparent cyberattack.

Governor Hochul says state officials are working on uncovering the hacker, who was able to gain access to the state’s computer system.

Hochul adds state officials brought out older, 1990s computers to continue work on the $237 billion budget for 2025. That budget was due April 1.
