CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — A member of the Cortland Fire Department is moving up.

Tim Clemons was named fire captain during a ceremony on Thursday. Clemons joined CFD in June 2008, and department officials describe his service as ‘exemplary.’

During the promotion ceremony, the Cortland Fire Department also recognized Lisa Henty, the outgoing finance director for Cortland, for her work.
