CAROLINE, N.Y. (WHCU) — Town officials in Caroline are looking to expand broadband internet coverage.
The town council recently approved a resolution for a feasibility study and partial buildout of Dryden’s broadband project into Caroline.
Councilors also approved funding from the Tompkins County Community Recovery Fund and utilizing the town’s ARPA funds for the project, which totals over $470,000.
Town Supervisor Mark Witmer says the expansion will support the needs of businesses, remote workers, and home schoolers.
