CANDOR, N.Y. (WHCU) — One Tioga County town is pursuing money for an ambulance.

Authorities in Candor are seeking a grant from the USDA. It could cover about 75 percent of the vehicle’s cost. EMS Operations Chief Curtis Hammond says two of the town’s ambulances may need to be replaced in the coming years.

In other Tioga County news, trustees in Owego recently voted down a $60,000 project.
