JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. (WHCU) — The middle school principal in Broome County charged with attempted rape is out on bail. 

Daniel Erickson is accused of posing as a teen on Snapchat and trying to coerce a 16-year-old girl into sex. The 55-year-old, who was arrested Friday, must wear an ankle monitor, and remain at home.

The $5,000 bail was reportedly paid by Erickson’s wife.
