ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — The new chair of the Tompkins County Legislature has outlined his goals for 2024.
During Tuesday’s Legislature meeting, Legislator Dan Klein mentioned some of what he called ‘big agenda items.’ One is beefing up access to broadband internet.
Klein adds although the goal won’t be completed in 2024, he’s hoping to get a good start before year’s end. Meantime, another item mentioned by Klein today was police reform.
Last year, Tompkins County hired a chief equity and diversity officer. Klein was elected as chair of the Tompkins County Legislature earlier this month.
