ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Officials in Ithaca say extending the Black Diamond Trail will help bridge together recreational areas.
Town Board member Bill Goodman says the project will connect Treman State Park, Buttermilk Falls State Park, and Taughannock Falls State Park.
“It’ll provide a great opportunity for recreation – both for walking and biking,” he says.
The town recently purchased 45 acres along Route 13 for $316,000. Goodman says it might take a few years to finish construction.
