OWEGO, N.Y. – A Berkshire man is facing multiple charges in Tioga County Court.
Tioga County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Sean Dickenson on the evening of June 19, 2023, after a report of a home invasion in Newark Valley. Investigators say the 60-year-old man entered the home with a crowbar and kitchen knife, damaged property, and threatened the people there before leaving.
Dickenson was located a short time later in Newark Valley on Whig Street and pulled over. Deputies say Dickenson became combative when they tried to conduct a field sobriety test. Authorities say when Dickenson exited the vehicle for the test, he attempted to grab a deputy’s service gun. Dickenson is charged with nine felonies and six misdemeanors.

Dickenson was remanded to Tioga County Jail on $50,000 cash bail. Dickenson is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow.
