CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) – Is that a Red Dragon or a Black Bear?

SUNY Cortland Police received a call Tuesday, June 12, 2023, about a bear running through the academic area on campus.

Officials say although black bears occasionally pass through the Cortland area, it’s rare for one to be on campus. The bear reportedly spent just a few minutes in the area before continuing north.
