NEWFIELD, N.Y. (WHCU) — A Newfield man faces several charges after a domestic situation on Saturday.

Authorities arrived at a home on Trumbulls Corners Road just after seven o’clock Saturday morning. The female victim told officers Richard Marks fled into a wooded area on a UTV. A search took place, and officers say they saw the 38-year-old pointing a shotgun and firing in their direction.

Marks was eventually arrested and charged with menacing a police officer and two counts of aggravated assault. Both charges are felonies.
