CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. (WHCU) – Authorities in Cortland County have made an arrest in a stolen property investigation.

Deputies picked up 22-year-old Destiny Winters, of Greene, on Wednesday, July 12 after a three-month-long pursuit. Winters and two others are accused of stealing items out of a vehicle in the Cortlandville Walmart parking lot in April 2023. Arrest warrants for Winters’ accused co-conspirators were also issued in April.  Winters is charged with two felony counts of grand larceny and misdemeanor conspiracy.

Winters is scheduled to appear in Cortlandville Town Court on Monday, July 17, at 11:00 a.m.
