ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – All students in the Ithaca City School District will receive free meals, effective December 1.
A change in the federal community eligibility provision made it possible for all 12 schools in the district, after just six qualified at the beginning of the school year in September. The expansion of eligibility and state-budgeted funds also allowed the Lansing School District to start a free meal program in November.
