ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – An air quality advisory has again been extended in New York.

The extension applies to all regions of the state and remains in effect until midnight on Friday, June 30, 2023. Governor Kathy Hochul says air quality will likely linger in the unhealthy range tomorrow.

The smoke is expected to dissipate over the coming days, but Hochul wants people to keep their eyes on air quality over the holiday weekend as the situation can change abruptly.
