DRYDEN, NY (CortacaToday) — Jason Pomeroy has been named the new Executive Director of the Tompkins Cortland Community College Foundation, effective July.
In his new role, Pomeroy will oversee fundraising and private philanthropic efforts to support TC3 and its students. He brings a wealth of experience in higher education fundraising, having served as Director of The Cortland Fund at SUNY Cortland for three years. His background also includes roles at Ithaca College and Cazenovia College, as well as positions with the Smile Train and the American Heart Association, where he was the Regional Executive Director.
“I am excited to be able to return to higher education,” said Pomeroy. “I know how incredibly gratifying it is to support the efforts of a college. The work of the TC3 Foundation makes a real difference in the lives of students, which in turn has an impact on the community. This is exactly why I love this opportunity and can’t wait to see how we can continue and grow the work of the Foundation.”
Founded in 1978, the TC3 Foundation aims to secure resources to enhance educational opportunities for TC3 students. Over the years, the Foundation has provided scholarships, grants, and support for essential needs such as transportation, food, and childcare.
