ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — COVID-19 relief money is covering the cost of construction equipment in Tompkins County.

On Tuesday, legislators approved spending about $335,000 on a bulldozer and a jet rod – which is used to clean culvert pipes. The money comes from the American Rescue Plan Act.

Elsewhere in the region, Owego lawmakers are using COVID-19 relief funding to purchase a snowplow.
