ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — An Ithaca lawmaker is not pleased with Cornell.

In a column on the Cornell Daily Sun, Alderperson Tiffany Kumar writes university leaders “only care about lining their pockets” and “appeasing their billionaire trustees.” She adds she feels “ashamed” to be part of the school.

Kumar is a senior at the university, which is in labor talks with the United Auto Workers union. Many custodial and dining staff are on strike.
