ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Second Wind Cottages will know after today whether or not they will be able to develop campsites in Newfield. 

The Tompkins County Legislature will vote on their $510,000 grant request, which had already been approved as part of the community recovery fund. Following that vote, the Newfield Town Board approved last month a two-year moratorium on building campsites.

Second Wind submitted a second request, which is the subject of this evening’s vote. If rejected, the money that was slated for Second Wind may be redirected to applicants previously denied.
