ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Tompkins County legislators will vote tonight on potentially raising the minimum wage.

The resolution would support the Raise the Wage Act in Albany, which proposes raising the state’s minimum wage to $20 an hour by 2026.

In Tompkins County, the current minimum wage is $14.20, below the county’s established living wage of $16.61.

Legislators will meet this evening at 5:30.
