ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — Ithaca is still tackling homeless encampments. 

The position of homeless encampment coordinator was recently approved by the Common Council, which City Manager Deb Mohlenhoff tells WHCU will be a big help. 

The coordinator would work with the city and three partner groups – Second Wind, OAR, and REACH – and track data. Mohlenhoff hopes to have a person, who would work part-time, in place by the end of 2024.
