ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — Cornell is planning construction at a busy intersection.

The university is looking to combine Duffield Hall with Phillips Hall. Work would take place at the corner of Campus Road and Hoy Road.

Ithaca Planning & Development Board member Andy Rollman is concerned about pedestrian safety.

“People are moving quickly, and there’s a bus stop there for students taking a bus to their housing,” he said. “There’s just a lot going on there.”

Rollman adds he wants to see a wider crosswalk at the site.
