CORTLANDVILLE, NY (CortacaToday) – A road in Cortlandville was forced to shut down because of heavy rainfall.

The Cortlandville Fire Department was called to Kinney Gulf Road Monday afternoon to assist with the overflow of Dry Creek. Water and debris flowed freely on parts of the roadway, and Kinney Gulf Road was closed between Bond Road and Sweeney Road. Firefighters joined the county highway department to damn and divert the water from the roadway.

Crews were able to reopen the road in approximately 30 minutes.
