CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) — A pair of Cortland County positions could receive raises.

Officials say the highway superintendent and deputy highway superintendent have more responsibilities, like oversight of capital projects. A proposed resolution would increase the salaries for each job by about seven percent.

Right now, each position makes upwards of $75,000.

County lawmakers will discuss the resolution more on Tuesday, Aug. 6.
