PARIS, FRANCE (CortacaToday) – Ithaca College alum Meghan Musnicki continues her pursuit of another Olympic gold medal.
The class of 2005 Bomber and the US women’s 8 rowing team, including Schuyler County-native Olivia Coffey, is headed for the final after placing first in the repechage round in Paris yesterday. Musnicki made history this week by becoming the oldest female rower in U.S. history. The team is set to square off against Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Italy, and Romania on Saturday.

Teams hit the water for the medal round beginning at 4:50 a.m. EST.
In related news, 2019 Cornell grad Michael Grady and the U.S. Men’s 4 rowing squad captured the gold medal on Thursday, narrowly defeating New Zealand by less than 9/10ths of a second. It was the first U.S. Men’s Olympic rowing gold for Team USA since the 1960 Italy games.
