BIG FLATS, NY (CortacaToday) – A sad story has a happy ending in Chemung County.
On Saturday, 26 Shi-Tzu dogs were rescued from poor conditions at a Big Flats Home, including 16 young adult dogs and ten 7-week-old puppies. The older dogs were found covered in filth with matted fur.

Donations poured in, and Southern Tier Animal Control closed adoption applications Monday after receiving a triple-digit response. The dogs will receive medical care and grooming before heading to their “fur-ever” homes.
