DRYDEN, NY (CortacaToday) — Ambulance workers in Dryden are seeking relief.

Deputy Town Supervisor Dan Lamb says paramedics are being stretched thin by their current workload.

“The folks at Dryden Ambulance are more than frustrated,” he says.

He adds crews often respond to areas outside of Dryden without getting reimbursed.

“We’ll go out and we’ll answer these calls, but we’re paying a price for it,” he says.

Lamb is hoping lawmakers develop a program that distributes funding for emergency services. He says he’s spoken with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s staff and Congressman Marc Molinaro’s staff about the issue.
