ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) – A few days remain to nominate projects for the 2024 Preservation Awards in Tompkins County.

Any preservation, rehabilitation, restoration, or adaptive reuse projects completed in the county within the past two years are eligible for the annual awards from Historic Ithaca.  All nominations must be received by the end of the day on Monday, July 22.

As per Historic Ithaca, nominees will be reviewed by a panel of preservation experts based on the following criteria:

  • the importance of the project to the long-term preservation of the building
  • adherence to the basic principles of preservation as outlined here
  • impact, or potential impact, of the project on the surrounding community
