CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) — Several appointments in Cortland are being made. 

Mayor Scott Steve will announce this evening the appointments of a new DPW leader and part-time city judge.

A new finance director is also being named at tonight’s Common Council meeting, and the mayor will choose a replacement for Susan Wilson following her resignation as a Cortland County legislator representing part of the Crown City. 

In related news, Mayor Steve told WHCU recently the city has started searching for a new police chief after Chief Sandy announced his retirement.
