OWEGO, NY (CortacaToday) – Over $5 million is headed to Tioga County for bridge and culvert work.

The county will use the funding to replace the Brown Road Bridge and the Halsey Valley Road culvert. Partial replacement work is also set for the Straits Corners Road bridge. The infrastructure grant money comes from both the state and federal governments.

Projects

  • $2.5 Million to replace Brown Road Bridge over East Branch Owego Creek
  • $1.46 Million for the Department of Public Works for deck replacement on Straits Corners Road Bridge over Pipe Creek
  • $1.5 Million to replace the Halsey Valley Road culvert

Cortland and Tompkins Counties also received funding for projects.
