ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – Cornell Freshman Clyde Lederman is a candidate for Ithaca’s Common Council.

The 19-year-old ILR school attendee is running for a seat in the Fifth Ward. In a December Facebook post, Lederman said he decided to run because students need a representative to fight for affordable housing and quality public transportation.

Lederman also canvassed for State Senator Lea Webb and 19th Congressional District candidate Josh Riley last year.
